About Emshab
Emshab is the Farsi word for tonight: the night, the one that matters. It is not a metaphor we reached for. It is what the business is.
The name
امشب (emshab) means tonight. The name is Persian; the DJ is not. It describes the night the work is built around, not the DJ’s background or the language of the service.
We named the company after it because everything we do is in service of one night. The rig, the run sheet, the rider filed with the venue, the spare microphone nobody will ever see: all of it exists so that one evening goes the way the people paying for it imagined.
What we do
We don't just provide a DJ. DJ entertainment, professional sound, intelligent lighting, uplighting, special effects, ceremony audio, live musicians, staging, drape and projection, for weddings, corporate galas, fashion shows, private parties and club nights across Toronto and the GTA. We specialise in mixed weddings: two families and musical traditions shaped into one celebration. Persian and Iranian weddings are a major part of that work.
The core rig is ours and goes out every weekend: a JBL VRX932LA line array over two JBL SRX728S dual-18" subwoofers with professional amplification and processing, JBL EON speakers for ceremonies and second rooms, an 8-channel console, wireless microphones, intelligent moving heads, wireless uplights and a professional dry-ice machine. Larger lighting rigs and specialty effects come from production partners we have worked with for years, and our crew installs and runs them. Nothing is subcontracted to a DJ you have never met.
DJ Dynamite has been behind the booth since 1995: more than thirty years. Emshab Entertainment was formed in 2002.
A note about the photographs
The photographs on our Toronto pages are our own work, from events we ran. None of it is supplier stock, and every setup you see there can be reproduced for your event. The Alanya pages deliberately use diagrams and field notes until a verified local shoot is available; Toronto work is never presented as Türkiye work.
This matters more than it sounds. Plenty of event suppliers illustrate their sites with manufacturer photography or images from productions they had no part in. When you book from those photographs you are booking an idea, not a rig.
How we work
The visible part is the party. The invisible part is the standard.
- Fixed price in writing before you book. If we underestimated the venue, that is our problem.
- The person you meet runs your night. In the contract, not just in conversation.
- A rider filed with your venue. It covers power, load-in, elevator timing, crew and insurance.
- $2M liability insurance. A certificate goes to your venue the same day it is asked for.
- A spare for everything that can fail. Failures happen. The room should not find out.
- Complete strike. We leave the room the way we found it, which is why venues recommend us.
Service language
DJ services, planning calls and event communication are provided in English. The Farsi pages on this website are translations for convenience; they do not indicate that the DJ speaks Farsi. DJ Dynamite does not MC: when an event wants a host, we bring an interactive MC who works from our run-of-show, or coordinate with the host you choose.

The name turned out to travel. Iran was the fourth-largest source of visitors to Türkiye in 2025 and Antalya is one of the two places most of them go, which makes a Farsi word for a wedding company an asset there rather than a Toronto quirk. There is a فارسی section for that market.
The two are honestly different in one respect and we say so on the Alanya pages instead of letting the word "our" do quiet work across a border: in Toronto the core sound, lighting and effects system is ours. In Alanya the production inventory is local, because Türkiye runs a different electrical system and shipping a Canadian rig there would be worse for the client. The full explanation is here.
