How Emshab handles the information you give us, and what your consent actually covers.

What we collect
Only what you give us: your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, the venue or event address, and anything you write in the notes field. We do not buy data about you and we do not enrich what you send us from third-party sources.
Why we collect it
To quote your event, book it, plan it with you, deliver it on the night and invoice for it. That is the whole list.
Consent: the two boxes on the booking form
Canadian law treats these as two distinct permissions and so do we. Both are unticked by default, neither is required to book, and either can be withdrawn without affecting the other.
- Text messages. Express consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for commercial electronic messages. Covers booking confirmation, planning reminders and day-of updates. Reply STOP to end it.
- Automated and AI-assisted phone calls. Express consent under the CRTC's Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules for calls placed by an automated system, including a voice assistant. This is separate from, and never implied by, the text-message consent. Withdraw it by telling the assistant or by calling (416) 318-4231.
We record which boxes you ticked and when, because under CASL the burden of proving consent is on us.
Who else sees it
Our booking and scheduling system, our SMS provider, and our payment processor, each only the fields they need to do their part. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Booking and invoice records for seven years, which is what the Canada Revenue Agency requires. Enquiries that never became jobs are deleted after twelve months. Consent records are kept for as long as the consent is relied on, plus three years.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within thirty days.
Analytics and cookies
This deployment does not currently run browser analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
