The standard we build to

WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is also the standard the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) applies to public-facing websites.

What that means here

• Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on everything focusable.
• A skip link at the top of every page jumps straight to the main content.
• Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and exactly one H1 per page.
• Text and interface colours meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio in both light and dark themes.
• Every image carries descriptive alternative text. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Tap targets are at least 48 by 48 CSS pixels with clear spacing between them.
• Body text is at least 16 CSS pixels, compact metadata remains non-essential, and the layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide.
• Animation and smooth scrolling are switched off automatically when your system asks for reduced motion.
• The booking form works completely without JavaScript, with visible labels and correct autocomplete on every field.
• A theme control offers light, dark and system, and the choice persists.

Known limitations

Third-party embedded media players, where used, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard. We load them only on request rather than automatically, which at least means they are never in your way unless you choose them.
