As one production, Dancing on the Clouds is part of the night rather than an extra. Upgrades: an interactive MC from $950, 20 to 40 uplights, extra microphones, a dedicated lighting operator, cold sparks.
For corporate events, the Signature Corporate Experience is $5,650: DJ Dynamite, Premium Reception Sound, a second audio zone for the reception or lobby, intelligent lighting and ten uplights, $6,150 bought separately.
What the DJ fee covers
The DJ fee pays for DJ Dynamite: thirty years of reading rooms, behind the booth since 1995.

The fee includes planning calls, music planning and a do-not-play list, a written run-of-show shared with your planner and venue, DJ Dynamite's own booth, monitor and a complete backup rig, and arrival two hours before doors. Announcements belong to the host you choose; DJ Dynamite runs the music and the cues.

Guest counts are guidelines. The room size, the ceiling, indoor or outdoor, the music and the number of zones decide the system, and we confirm it with the venue before we quote.

What moves the number
Can change the quote
- The room, through system size. 150 to 300 guests is a real equipment step, and so is a high ceiling or an outdoor tent.
- Ceremony coverage: a second system, a dedicated operator and more hours on site.
- Venue access. A fifth-floor room with one passenger elevator and no dock is genuinely two extra hours each way, from $250. See the venue notes.
- Late strikes. A strike after 1am, or a venue that insists on a next-morning pickup, from $250.
- Peak dates. New Year's Eve, Halloween Saturday, Nowruz, Chaharshanbe Suri and Yalda are booked at twice the DJ fee. Production stays at standard prices.
- Travel beyond the GTA, quoted as a visible line.
Does not change it
- Song requests. There is no premium catalogue.
- The planning calls. They are how the night works.
- Standard delivery, setup and strike in the GTA. They are already inside every production price.

Terms, plainly
- 30% deposit holds the date. Balance two weeks before.
- Fixed price in writing. No change orders for things we should have anticipated.
- Pricing assumes standard venue access and production requirements. Complex load-ins, extended production hours, additional technicians, travel, rigging or late-night strikes are quoted as separate lines before you book.
- Peak dates are booked at twice the DJ fee; production is charged at standard rates.
- $2M commercial general liability. Certificate to your venue the same day you ask.
- E-transfer, credit, debit, cash. PO and net-30 for corporate.
- All prices before HST.

Questions about pricing
How much is a wedding DJ in Toronto?
DJ Dynamite starts at $3,250 for up to six hours of reception when the venue provides a professional sound system. With our own JBL line-array sound and intelligent lighting, receptions start at $4,750, and the Signature Experience (ceremony to last dance, with uplighting and Dancing on the Clouds) is $6,950. Most of our weddings land between $4,750 and $9,500.
Why is the DJ fee separate from the sound system?
Because some rooms already have a professional system and some do not. Separating the two means you never pay for a PA the venue already provides, and when the room needs ours you can see exactly what it costs and what it is.
Is MC service included?
No. DJ Dynamite does not MC: he runs the music and every cue. When you want a host, we bring an interactive MC who works from the same run-of-show, from $950. If you already have a host, we coordinate their cues and microphones instead.
Is the price fixed or does it change?
Fixed, in writing, before you book. If the venue turns out to need more than we quoted, that is our problem rather than a change order.
What is the deposit?
30% to hold the date, balance due two weeks before the event. The deposit is what actually reserves the date. A verbal hold is not a booking.
Do you charge for delivery, setup and strike?
Within the GTA they are built into every production price: delivery, load-in, setup, sound check, tuning, programming, operation, strike and load-out. A complex load-in, a strike after 1am, extra technicians or travel beyond the GTA are quoted as their own line before you book, from $250.
Do peak dates cost more?
Yes. New Year's Eve, Halloween Saturday, Nowruz, Chaharshanbe Suri and Yalda are booked at twice the DJ fee. Sound, lighting and effects stay at their standard prices.
Do prices include HST?
No. All figures on this site are before HST.
Do you charge for travel?
Not within the GTA: Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Brampton, Oakville, Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough. Beyond that we quote travel as a visible line instead of hiding it.
What payment methods do you take?
E-transfer, credit card, debit and cash. Corporate clients can pay against a purchase order on net-30 terms.
What happens if we cancel?
The deposit is non-refundable because the date comes off the calendar. Beyond that there is no cancellation penalty. If we have to cancel for any reason within our control, you get everything back plus help finding a replacement.
