Corporate event DJ and AV in Toronto

Galas, awards nights, conferences and holiday parties. One supplier for the sound, the lighting, the screens and the person running them.

The AV works, the room looks intentional, and nobody from your team has to stand at the back holding a laptop.

The four events we do most

  • Awards and galas. Lectern sound that is actually intelligible, a screen the back table can read, walk-on music, and a stage that does not look like a folding table with a cloth on it.
  • Holiday parties. Dinner set, speeches, then an actual dance floor. The most common failure is a system sized for speeches being asked to do the second half of the night.
  • Conferences and AGMs. Multiple mics, presentation switching, confidence monitor, and someone at the desk for the whole session.
  • Product launches and fashion. See fashion show production: runway is its own discipline.

Presentation AV, done so it does not fail

Most corporate AV disasters are the same three things: nobody tested the laptop, the aspect ratio was wrong, and the speaker could not hear themselves. All three are avoidable in the twenty minutes before doors.

Standard gala AV

Speech
2× wireless handheld, 1× lectern gooseneck, 1× lav spare
Playback
Redundant pair, both tested with your actual deck
Screen
10–20 ft front or rear projection, sized to the room, or LED where ambient light demands it
Switching
Hardware switcher with preview: never an unattended HDMI cable
Comms
Operator on headset with your show caller
Visuals
A VJ on the screen for the party half of the night. Your identity and your footage cut live to the set, not a logo sitting still until the lights come up
Backup
Spare projector lamp path, spare mic, spare capture: always

Procurement, insurance and load-in

We invoice on a purchase order, accept net-30, and send a $2M certificate of insurance naming your venue as additional insured the same day it is requested. Loading dock times, union rules and elevator bookings are handled with the venue directly so your events team does not have to broker it.

Room look

A ballroom with the house lights at 100% looks like a ballroom with the house lights at 100%. Uplighting the perimeter in your brand colour and pulling the house down two thirds is the cheapest transformation available to a corporate event. See event lighting and pipe and drape.

The screen is the other one, and it is usually wasted. A gala screen holds the deck through the awards and then holds a static logo for four hours while the floor fills. Put a VJ behind it instead and the brand keeps moving with the music: your own footage, your identity, cut live to the set. Same screen, same projector, one more operator.

Check your date

The first question is always whether the date is open. Start there: the rest takes two minutes.

1. What is the event? Step 1 of 5
Choose a service
Estimate Shown on each option above Flat quote confirmed before any work starts. Prices in CAD, before HST.
2. Where will it happen? Step 2 of 5
Name the venue if it is booked. If you are still choosing, leave this blank. The date is enough to start.
3. When is it? Step 3 of 5
Choose a time window
If the date is not fixed, choose the first day of the month you are aiming for and tell us in the notes. Popular Saturdays often book nine to twelve months ahead. Short-notice dates are still worth asking about.
4. How do we reach you? Step 4 of 5
5. Review and send Step 5 of 5

Two separate permissions, because in Canadian law they are two separate things. Ticking one never ticks the other, both are optional, and neither changes how we handle your booking.

No payment now and no obligation. We reply within one working day with availability and the right next step.

Common questions

Can you supply a certificate of insurance for our venue?

Yes. $2M commercial general liability, and we can name the venue as additional insured. Send us the venue contact and we deal with them directly.

Do you accept purchase orders and net-30 terms?

Yes. We invoice against a PO and work on net-30 for corporate clients. A deposit holds the date; the balance follows the invoice.

What does corporate AV cost in Toronto?

From $2,500 for a holiday party with sound, lighting and a DJ. A gala with staging, screens and a full crew is typically $6,000 to $15,000, and the largest corporate productions we take on run to $25,000. We quote line by line so you can see what is driving it.

Do you handle presentation content as well as the system?

We run the playback and the switching, and we will rehearse with your deck. We do not design slides, but we will tell you honestly if the deck will not read from the back of the room.

Can you work with our venue's in-house AV?

Yes, and often that is the cheaper answer. In-house systems usually cover speech well and music badly; we supplement rather than duplicate.

How early do you load in?

Whenever the venue allows, and we plan for the elevator being late. For a 6pm gala we are typically on site by 11am.

What happens to the screen after the presentation is over?

It can carry a VJ. Your brand footage and identity mixed live to the music for the second half of the night, from the same desk as the lighting. It is quoted with the screen rather than as a separate hire, and it is the difference between a logo sitting still and a room that looks designed.
